5052 Aluminium pipes are composed primarily of 1.2/1.8% magnesium, which enhances their strength and corrosion resistance, making them ideal for marine and chemical applications. The alloy also contains small amounts of iron (0.30/0.9%), manganese (0.25%), silicon (0.50%), and zinc (0.25%). Mechanical properties of Aluminium 5052 include a tensile strength of around 270 MPa, yield strength of 170 MPa, and an elongation of approximately 12-14%. Its excellent workability, weldability, and resistance to seawater make it highly suitable for structural applications in corrosive environments.
